Young leaves can be harvested as salad greens or microgreens, offering vibrant colour and a mild, tender flavour. As plants mature, the upper leaf surface turns green while the undersides retain their rich fuchsia tones, adding depth and interest to both the garden and the kitchen. Fast growing and heat tolerant, ‘Garnet Red’ is as ornamental as it is edible, making it a standout choice for beds, containers, and cut-and-come-again harvests.

Approximately 450 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: Early spring onwards
Subtropics: Early spring to summer
Mild climates: Late spring to summer
Cold climates: Late spring after frost risk has passed

Planting / Sowing
Sow directly into well drained soil in full sun once the weather has warmed.
