Ready to harvest in as little as 15 days, it is an excellent addition to salads, sandwiches and garnishes, adding both crisp texture and a mild spicy bite. Its compact habit makes it ideal for growing in pots, trays or small containers, even on a sunny kitchen windowsill.

One of the easiest leafy greens to grow, Extra Curled Cress thrives indoors throughout the year and can be harvested repeatedly while young. It performs best in cool conditions and is less suited to outdoor cultivation during hot weather, when plants quickly become tough and run to seed.

Approximately 450–550 seeds per gram
Approximately 1,400 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: April to August outdoors, year round indoors
Subtropics: Year round, best during the cooler months
Mild climates: Year round
Cold climates: Year round

Planting / Sowing

Sow seed 3–5 mm deep into moist, well-drained soil or shallow containers in a sunny to partly shaded position.
