Valued for its tender, mild flavoured leaves, Amaranthus blitum is well suited to regular cut and come again harvest and is commonly used as a spinach substitute, either fresh when young or lightly cooked. Plants form a lower, more spreading habit than ornamental amaranths and cope well with heat once established. Easy to grow in warm conditions, it is a productive, practical choice for kitchen gardens focused on yield and versatility rather than show.

450 seeds per packet

Planting / Sowing
Sow directly into well drained soil in full sun once the weather has warmed.
