Berry Saltbush, or Seaberry Saltbush. Syn. Chenopodium baccatum. Robust West Australian native low growing shrub. Fleshy pale green leaves, cream coloured flowers and edible salty-sweet diamond shaped pinky-red berries. Important in dune and slope rehabilitation. Thrives in coastal alkaline, granite, limestone and sandy soils. Shade, wind and drought tolerant. Good food source for birds.
