Known in the Mediterranean from ancient times. Best steamed and popular baked. Grows in a similar fashion to carrot with deep friable soil. Ensure germination by pressing soil and keeping moist, cover soil with paper up to 3 weeks, matures by 21 weeks. Frost improves flavour.
