Spectacular blood-red leaf-like flowers. Native to arid Australia. Flowers up to 90mm, trailing plant up to 2m. Sow in spring or summer. Prefers alkaline, well drained soils. Scarify seed in boiling water for 5-10 minutes only, then rise in cool water and plant immediately in sandy mix, cover for 5 days in cool weather and do not over water. Used as a cut flower.
