Dragon's Tongue Seeds

A visually striking 18th-century Dutch heirloom, compact and bushy at 70 cm. Stringless pods are wide, pale lemon with eye-catching mottled purple streaks. Pods reach about 18 cm and are exceptionally crisp and juicy. Harvest to eat fresh when young at around 60 days or mature on the bush and harvest as dried beans 100 days.

Phaseolus vulgaris var. nanus

Also called DWARF, FRENCH or SNAP BEAN. Most popular vegetable, originally from South and Central America, cultivated 500 B.C., introduced to France by 1535. High yielding and rich in vitamins A, B & C. Use successive plantings whilst frost free. Grows well in all soils if not waterlogged. Does best in near neutral conditions. Sow after frost.
