A high quality, early producing artichoke with green buds tipped in purple. ‘Imperial Star’ forms round, nearly spineless buds with a sweet, tender flavour and is well suited to annual or short lived perennial production. Selected for uniformity and early maturity, it typically reaches harvest in around 85 to 95 days. A reliable choice for gardeners wanting good yields in a shorter season.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed 1 to 1.5 cm deep into well drained, fertile soil in full sun. Keep soil evenly moist during germination. Space plants 75 to 90 cm apart, allowing room for mature growth and good airflow. Regular watering and rich soil will support steady growth and bud development.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
