Ocimum basilicum, Calendula officinalis, Nepeta cataria, Dactylis glomerata, Taraxacum officinale, Valeriana officinalis

Create a garden especially for your feline friends with this diverse mix of herbs, grasses and flowers selected to provide an interesting sensory patch for cats to explore, sniff, nibble and lounge amongst.

The mix includes Basil, Calendula, Catnip, Cat Grass, Dandelion and Valerian, combining aromatic herbs with fresh edible greens and flowering plants. Catnip and Valerian are well known for their appeal to many cats, while Cat Grass provides fresh foliage for nibbling. The mix also creates an attractive little garden that can be grown in garden beds, pots or larger containers.

Sow as a dedicated cat patch or incorporate throughout the garden to create pockets for curious cats to investigate. As this is a mixed selection, individual plants will germinate and develop at different rates.

Approximately 200 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: Autumn to spring
Subtropics: Autumn and spring
Mild climates: Autumn and spring
Cold climates: Spring to early summer after frost

Planting / Sowing

Sow into prepared garden beds, pots or containers filled with good-quality, well-drained soil. Scatter seed over the surface, lightly rake or cover with a fine layer of soil and keep consistently moist during germination.

Position in full sun to partial shade. As the mixture contains several different species, germination times and mature plant sizes will vary. For a longer-lasting cat garden, allow some plants to mature and flower while cats enjoy the younger grasses and foliage.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
