An aromatic basil variety with large, dark green leaves and striking deep purple flower spikes. When crushed, the leaves release a warm cinnamon scent and flavour and can be used fresh or dried as a substitute for cinnamon, or used in cooking wherever basil is called for. Plants grow to around 70 cm tall and make an attractive and productive addition to garden beds or containers. An annual that thrives in warmth and sunshine, cinnamon basil combines ornamental appeal with culinary versatility.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed shallowly into well-drained soil in a warm, sunny position once frost risk has passed. Keep soil evenly moist during germination. Space plants 30 to 40 cm apart. Regular harvesting encourages bushy growth and delays flowering. Suitable for growing in pots or garden beds.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
