Campanula medium

A charming cottage garden favourite producing elegant bell-shaped flowers in a beautiful mix of soft pastel colours. The distinctive blooms, resembling delicate cups sitting within matching saucers, are held on tall stems reaching approximately 75cm, making them excellent for cutting and floral arrangements.

Canterbury Bells bring classic old-fashioned beauty to garden beds, borders and cottage-style plantings. Flowering in shades of pink, blue, lavender and white, they attract bees and other pollinators while adding height and colour to the garden. Their long stems and impressive vase life have made them a popular cut flower for generations.

Approximately 400 seeds per packet

2700 seeds/gram

When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: April to July
Subtropics: March to August
Mild climates: Autumn to spring
Cold climates: Spring and autumn

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed onto the surface of a fine seed raising mix and lightly press into place, as light assists germination. Keep moist but not waterlogged during germination. Transplant seedlings once large enough to handle and space approximately 30–40cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Grow in full sun to part shade. Staking may be beneficial in windy locations. Approximately 16–20 weeks to flowering.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
