Purple Dragon is a striking heirloom carrot with a rich reddish-purple exterior and a vivid yellow-orange interior. The colourful roots have a sweet flavour with a subtle spicy note, making them an excellent choice for fresh eating, roasting, salads, and gourmet dishes. This unique variety adds outstanding colour and flavour to the garden and kitchen, maturing in around 90 days.

When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: April to August
Subtropics: March to September
Mild climates: Almost year round, avoiding the hottest months
Cold climates: Spring to autumn
Planting / Sowing
Sow seed directly into well prepared, loose soil in full sun. Plant seeds 5 mm deep in rows and thin seedlings to 3–5 cm apart once established. Keep the soil evenly moist during germination, which may take 10–21 days. Harvest from around 90 days when roots have reached full size.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
