Lemon Grass Cuttings
$12.00
Unit price perCymbopogon citratus
West Indian lemongrass is the classic culinary variety used in teas, broths and Asian cooking. Unlike East Indian lemongrass, which can be grown from seed, West Indian lemongrass rarely produces viable seed and is almost always propagated by division. Each cutting is taken from the base of a mature clump and will form a new plant once rooted.
This variety forms dense, aromatic clumps with strongly lemon-scented stems and soft green leaves. It thrives in warm conditions, full sun, and well-drained soil. Keep the soil moist while roots establish, then water as needed as the plant matures. In frost free regions, it grows year-round and can be divided every year or two to create new plants.
A reliable, vigorous perennial for home gardens, kitchens and herbal use.
Contains 5 fresh plant cuttings.

Flower seeds: As fellow gardening enthusiasts we share the love for planting and nurturing our own flowers in addition to our veggie gardens. Our carefully selected range of flower seeds, available for convenient online purchase, holds a special place in our hearts. Like the endangered vegetables we've championed, these flower varieties face the risk of vanishing forever. Some of these older strains are incredibly rare, and it's a source of immense pride for us to offer and deliver these precious flower seeds Australia-wide.
