Unit price perGaillardia grandiflora
Single Mixed Gaillardia is a hardy perennial producing large, daisy-like flowers in a vibrant mixture of warm yellows, oranges, reds and crimson, often with contrasting bands of colour around the petals. Growing to approximately 75 cm tall, the plants provide a bold display over the warmer months.
Also known as Blanket Flower, Gaillardia is well suited to cottage gardens, borders, wildflower plantings and cutting gardens. The nectar-rich flowers attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects, while the long flowering period provides colour through summer and into autumn.
Tough and adaptable once established, Gaillardia thrives in full sun and well-drained soil and has excellent tolerance of heat and dry conditions. Regular deadheading encourages continued flowering.
Seed count: approximately 500 seeds/g
Approximately 200 seeds per packet
When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: Autumn to spring
Subtropics: Autumn and spring
Mild climates: Autumn and spring
Cold climates: Spring after frost
Planting / Sowing
Sow directly where plants are to grow or raise in trays, covering the seed lightly with soil or seed-raising mix. Keep moist during germination and establishment.
Thin or transplant seedlings to approximately 30–40 cm apart in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, avoid overwatering and remove spent flowers regularly to encourage further blooming.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety. Not available for WA.

FLOWER SEEDS WITH EDEN
Flower seeds: As fellow gardening enthusiasts we share the love for planting and nurturing our own flowers in addition to our veggie gardens. Our carefully selected range of flower seeds, available for convenient online purchase, holds a special place in our hearts. Like the endangered vegetables we've championed, these flower varieties face the risk of vanishing forever. Some of these older strains are incredibly rare, and it's a source of immense pride for us to offer and deliver these precious flower seeds Australia-wide.
