Clarkia amoena

Dwarf Double Azalea Flowered Mix is a charming annual producing masses of frilled, double and semi-double blooms in a beautiful range of soft pastel shades. Growing to approximately 40 cm tall, the compact plants create an abundant display without taking up too much garden space.

The silky, azalea-like flowers are ideal for cottage gardens, borders, containers and cutting gardens. Easy to grow and free flowering, Godetia performs particularly well in cooler conditions and makes a lovely cut flower for small bouquets and informal arrangements.

Plants prefer full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil, with regular moisture during active growth and flowering.

Seed count: approximately 1,600 seeds/g
Approximately 1,000 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: Autumn to winter
Subtropics: Autumn to winter
Mild climates: Autumn and spring
Cold climates: Spring, or autumn where winters are mild

Planting / Sowing

Sow directly where plants are to grow, covering the fine seed only lightly with soil. Keep moist during germination and establishment.

Thin seedlings to approximately 15–20 cm apart. Avoid overly rich soil or excessive fertiliser, which can encourage leafy growth at the expense of flowers. Regular picking or deadheading will help extend the flowering period.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
