Mammoth Excelsior is a tall, impressive Stock producing strong, non-branching columns densely covered in beautifully fragrant flowers. The mixture includes shades of pink, red, yellow, cream, lilac, apricot and white, with both single and semi-double blooms creating a wonderfully varied display.
Growing approximately 60–90 cm tall, the long, upright stems make Mammoth Excelsior an excellent cut flower, prized for both its colour and rich perfume. It is particularly well suited to cottage gardens, borders and dedicated cutting gardens, flowering in approximately 12–14 weeks under suitable conditions.
Stock thrives in cool growing conditions and prefers a sunny position with fertile, well-drained, neutral to slightly alkaline loamy soil. An ideal germination temperature is approximately 18–24°C.

Planting / Sowing
Sow directly or raise in trays, covering seed lightly with soil or seed-raising mix. Keep consistently moist during germination but avoid waterlogging.
Transplant carefully while seedlings are young, spacing approximately 20–30 cm apart in full sun and well-drained soil. Taller stems may benefit from support in exposed positions. Regular cutting will provide beautifully fragrant stems for floral arrangements.
