Borago officinalis

Borage Microgreens produce tender green shoots with a fresh, mild cucumber flavour that adds a unique touch to salads, sandwiches, seafood dishes and garnishes. Popular with chefs and home growers alike, they offer both culinary appeal and excellent visual presentation.

Harvested at a young stage, borage microgreens provide the distinctive flavour of mature borage leaves in a convenient, compact form. Their succulent texture and refreshing taste make them an excellent addition to summer dishes and gourmet plating.

Easy to grow and quick to establish, borage microgreens perform well across a range of conditions and can be produced year round. They are a versatile choice for both beginner and experienced microgreen growers.

Approximately 55 seeds per gram

Planting / Sowing

For microgreens, sow seed densely over a moist growing medium and lightly cover with a thin layer of medium or vermiculite. Keep evenly moist throughout germination and growth.

Position in a bright location with good airflow and maintain consistent moisture. Harvest with scissors when the first true leaves begin to appear, typically 10–18 days after sowing.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
