Cabbage Chinese Choy Sum Seeds

Choy Sum is a popular Asian leafy vegetable grown for its tender green stems, glossy dark green leaves and delicate flowering shoots. This Hong Kong green variety is highly regarded for its excellent flavour, combining mild sweetness with a subtle mustard-like character that makes it a favourite in stir-fries, soups and steamed vegetable dishes.
Unlike heading cabbages, Choy Sum produces an open, upright plant with succulent stems and attractive dark green foliage. The entire plant is edible, including the young flower buds, which are often considered the most flavoursome part. Fast growing and productive, it provides a generous harvest in as little as 55 days.
Choy Sum is widely cultivated throughout Asia and performs best in the cooler months of the year. Regular harvesting encourages continued production of tender shoots and leaves.
