A uniform, richly coloured basil with glossy deep purple leaves and a classic basil flavour. Grown for both culinary use and visual impact, ‘Deep Purple’ adds strong colour contrast to herb gardens, vegetable beds, and containers. Leaves can be used fresh or cooked and are especially attractive in salads, garnishes, and flavoured oils or vinegars. An annual basil that grows vigorously in warm conditions and full sun.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed shallowly into well drained soil in a warm, sunny position once frost risk has passed. Keep soil evenly moist during germination. Space plants 30 to 40 cm apart. Regular harvesting encourages bushy growth and prolongs leaf production. Suitable for garden beds and pots.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
