Buckwheat produces crisp, succulent microgreens with bright green leaves, pale stems and a fresh, mild flavour. Sometimes referred to as buckwheat lettuce, the tender shoots are excellent in salads, sandwiches, wraps and smoothies. Quick growing and highly productive, unhulled buckwheat is best grown in shallow trays and thrives in warm conditions.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed densely over a shallow tray of quality seed-raising mix and cover lightly with a thin layer of growing medium. Keep evenly moist and maintain temperatures between 20–25°C for the best germination. Harvest with scissors when the seedlings are 8–12 cm tall, usually in 8–14 days. Avoid growing during cold winter conditions, as germination and growth are greatly reduced.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.

Flower seeds: As fellow gardening enthusiasts we share the love for planting and nurturing our own flowers in addition to our veggie gardens. Our carefully selected range of flower seeds, available for convenient online purchase, holds a special place in our hearts. Like the endangered vegetables we've championed, these flower varieties face the risk of vanishing forever. Some of these older strains are incredibly rare, and it's a source of immense pride for us to offer and deliver these precious flower seeds Australia-wide.
