Phaseolus vulgaris
A traditional German climbing bean originating from the Stuttgart region.
A vigorous, heavy yielding climbing bean producing long, bumpy, stringless pods 22–25 cm in length. A fine tasting, highly flavoured green bean suited to fresh use and cooking.

When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: September to March
Subtropics: October to February
Mild climates: Late spring to summer
Cold climates: After frost has passed

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed directly into warm, well drained soil in full sun once soil temperatures are suitable. Provide sturdy support for climbing plants. Space seeds 10 to 15 cm apart and keep soil evenly moist during establishment. Harvest from around 65 to 70 days for best quality.
