Oaxacan Green is a remarkable heirloom maize originating from southern Mexico, where it has been grown for centuries by the Zapotec people. The striking emerald green kernels are traditionally milled into a distinctive green flour for making tamales and tortillas. Plants grow to approximately 1.6–1.8 m tall and produce beautiful ornamental cobs while remaining drought tolerant and reliable under a range of conditions. Matures in around 75–105 days.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed directly into well drained, fertile soil in full sun once the soil has warmed. Harvest young cobs fresh or allow them to mature and dry completely for milling into flour.
