Coreopsis lanceolata

Tall Coreopsis is a hardy, free-flowering perennial producing masses of bright golden-yellow, daisy-like flowers on long, slender stems. Its cheerful blooms appear over an extended flowering period and bring height and movement to cottage gardens, borders, wildflower plantings and naturalised areas.

The flowers are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects and make lovely additions to informal cut flower arrangements. Tough and adaptable once established, Tall Coreopsis performs particularly well in full sun and well-drained soil and has good tolerance of dry conditions.

Easy to grow and relatively low maintenance, plants can be deadheaded to encourage further flowering or allowed to set seed for natural regeneration in suitable areas.

Seed count: approximately 500 seeds/g
Approximately 200 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: Autumn to winter
Subtropics: Autumn and spring

Planting / Sowing

Sow directly or raise in trays, covering the seed lightly with soil or seed-raising mix. Keep moist during germination and establishment.

Transplant or thin seedlings to approximately 25–30 cm apart in full sun and well-drained soil. Once established, water during extended dry periods and regularly remove spent flowers if continued blooming is desired.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
