Rosemary is a hardy, evergreen perennial shrub growing to around 60 cm, valued for its fragrant needle-like leaves and masses of bee-attracting flowers. A long-standing favourite in herb gardens, the aromatic foliage is widely used to flavour roasted vegetables, meats, breads and infused oils. Rosemary also makes an attractive companion plant, traditionally grown alongside sage, cabbage, beans and carrots, and is often said to help deter moths and flies.
In traditional Western herbalism, rosemary has long been used as a warming culinary herb and tonic. The aromatic leaves have traditionally been infused as a tea and were valued to support digestion after rich meals, promote circulation, and enhance mental clarity and memory. Fresh or dried sprigs are also commonly used in herbal baths, infused oils and potpourri for their refreshing fragrance.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed on the surface of a fine seed-raising mix, as light is required for germination. Do not cover the seed. Mist gently to keep the surface moist and cover the tray with a clear lid or plastic to maintain humidity until germination. Place in a warm, bright position out of direct afternoon sun. Transplant seedlings once large enough to handle into a sheltered, sunny position with well-drained soil. Once established, rosemary is drought tolerant and thrives in full sun.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
