This hardy annual produces a colourful mix of blooms and has long been a favourite in Australian gardens. While compact in habit, the flowers are long lasting and also suitable for cutting. Plants prefer full sun and well drained soil, and benefit from mulching to keep roots cool. Best grown in moderately fertile soil, as heavy fertilising can reduce flower quality.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed into well drained soil as soon as the risk of frost has passed. Sow seed lightly covered and keep soil evenly moist during germination. Grow in full sun with good airflow. Space plants approximately 15 to 20 cm apart. Mulching is beneficial to maintain even soil moisture and keep roots cool during warmer weather.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
