Dorotheanthus bellidiformis

Criniflorum Mixed is a brilliant low-growing Livingstone Daisy producing masses of intensely coloured, daisy-like flowers in shades of rose, crimson, buff, pink, primrose and golden apricot. Growing to approximately 10 cm tall, the compact, spreading plants form a dazzling carpet of colour.

The flowers open in bright sunlight, creating their best display on clear, sunny days. Their low, spreading habit makes Livingstone Daisy ideal for borders, rockeries, edging, containers and mass plantings where the vivid colours can create a striking effect.

Native to southern Africa, Livingstone Daisy thrives in full sun and well-drained soil and performs particularly well in relatively dry conditions. Plants dislike waterlogged soil and excessive humidity.

Seed count: approximately 3,700 seeds/g
Approximately 3,000 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: Autumn to winter
Subtropics: Autumn to spring
Mild climates: Autumn and spring
Cold climates: Spring after frost

Planting / Sowing

Sow directly or raise in trays, scattering the very fine seed over the surface of moist, well-drained soil. Cover only very lightly and keep moist during germination.

Transplant or thin seedlings to approximately 15–20 cm apart in full sun. Avoid overwatering once established and provide excellent drainage for the best growth and flowering.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
