Chervil is an elegant culinary herb prized for its delicate, fern-like foliage and subtle sweet anise flavour. A traditional staple of French cuisine, it brings a refined fragrance and gentle taste to a wide range of dishes, making it a favourite among chefs and herb enthusiasts.
As a baby leaf or microgreen, Chervil produces tender, aromatic greens that are perfect for garnishing soups, salads and egg dishes. Its delicate flavour pairs beautifully with potatoes, fish, poultry and creamy sauces, while its finely divided leaves add an attractive decorative touch to the plate.
Often considered an undiscovered gem among culinary herbs, Chervil thrives in cooler conditions and rewards growers with lush, flavourful foliage. Its distinctive taste and graceful appearance make it an excellent addition to herb gardens and specialty microgreen collections.

Planting / Sowing
For microgreens, sow seed densely over a moist growing medium and lightly cover. For baby leaf production, sow thinly into trays, containers or garden beds and harvest young leaves as required.
Chervil germinates best between 12–20°C. Keep soil evenly moist during germination and provide bright filtered light or partial shade, particularly in warmer climates. Harvest microgreens when the first true leaves begin to develop, or continue growing for larger baby leaf harvests.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
