Tropaeolum majus

Double Jewel Peach Melba Nasturtium is a delightful dwarf variety producing masses of semi-double to double blooms in soft buttery yellow, each petal adorned with distinctive orange-scarlet markings. The cheerful flowers are held proudly above the foliage, creating a bright and eye-catching display throughout the growing season.

Its compact, non-trailing habit makes it ideal for containers, hanging baskets, edging, cottage gardens and smaller spaces where a tidy mound of colour is desired. The blooms attract bees and other pollinators while adding ornamental value to both flower and vegetable gardens. Like all nasturtiums, the flowers and leaves are edible, providing a mild peppery flavour that is excellent in salads, sandwiches and as a decorative garnish.

Easy to grow and highly rewarding, this variety thrives with minimal attention and flowers most prolifically when grown in moderately fertile soils.

Subtropics: March to September
Mild climates: March to October
Cold climates: September to January

Planting / Sowing

Sow seed directly where plants are to grow, 10–15 mm deep in a sunny to partly shaded position. Keep soil evenly moist during germination. Space plants 25–30 cm apart. Nasturtiums prefer well-drained soil and generally flower more abundantly when not overfed. Remove spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous flowering.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
