Hamburg Turnip-Rooted Parsley is an ancient European heirloom grown for both its aromatic leaves and its large, cream-coloured, carrot-shaped root. The roots have a delicate flavour somewhere between carrot and parsnip and can be grated fresh into salads or cooked in soups, stews and roasted vegetable dishes. The nutritious leaves may also be harvested and used like traditional flat-leaf parsley. This dual-purpose variety is a rewarding addition to the cool-season vegetable garden.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed 5 mm deep directly into well-prepared, loose, fertile soil to allow straight root development. Keep the soil consistently moist during germination, which may take 2–4 weeks. Thin seedlings to 10–15 cm apart. Grow in full sun or part shade and avoid transplanting, as disturbed roots may become forked. Harvest leaves as required and lift roots after approximately 90 days once they have reached a good size.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
