Petroselinum crispum

Italian Parsley is a vigorous, hardy flat-leaf variety prized for its large, deeply flavoured leaves and robust growth. With a stronger flavour than curled parsley, it is an essential culinary herb for soups, sauces, salads and cooked dishes. Well suited to drying as well as fresh use, it readily self-seeds under favourable conditions, providing a reliable supply year after year. Harvest regularly to encourage fresh, tender growth.

Approximately 575 seeds per gram
Approximately 500 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: April to September
Subtropics: March to October
Mild climates: Year round

Planting / Sowing

Sow seed 5 mm deep in well-prepared, fertile soil or seed trays, keeping the soil consistently moist during germination, which may take 2–4 weeks. Plant in full sun or part shade, spacing plants 20–30 cm apart. Harvest outer leaves regularly once established to encourage continuous production. Ready to harvest in approximately 78 days.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
