A fast growing leaf protein grown as a summer annual to around 60 cm. Valued for its high vitamin and mineral content, this variety produces bright red and green leaves that can be eaten raw in salads or cooked like spinach, with stems also suitable for cooking. Drought hardy once established and well suited to warm conditions.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed shallowly into well drained soil in full sun. Do not sow deeply. Keep soil moist until germination. Plants establish quickly and can be harvested from around 50 days. Suitable for repeated leaf harvest or whole plant use while young.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
