Phaseolus vulgaris
A dependable, old fashioned bush bean producing flat, shiny green pods measuring around 15 to 16 cm. ‘Brown Beauty’ is valued for its very good yields and some natural disease resistance, making it a reliable choice for home gardeners. Pods are tender and well flavoured, suitable for fresh eating and cooking. An early variety, reaching harvest in approximately 55 days, it performs best in warm conditions and continues cropping well with regular picking.

Approximately 45 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: March to August
Subtropics: September to March
Mild climates: October to March
Cold climates: November to February

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed directly into well drained soil in a warm, sunny position after the risk of frost has passed. Sow seed 3 to 5 cm deep and space plants 20 to 25 cm apart, with rows 45 to 60 cm apart. Regular harvesting encourages continued production. Bush beans grow well in most soils provided drainage is good and perform best in near neutral conditions.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
