A dramatic leaf amaranth with deep dark red foliage and a strong single stem habit. Plants grow upright to around 100 cm, making Elephant Head well suited to garden beds and ornamental plantings as well as edible use. Leaves can be harvested young for greens, with colour deepening as plants mature.

Planting / Sowing
Sow directly into well drained soil in full sun once the weather has warmed. Sow seed shallowly and keep soil moist until germination. Thin or space plants to allow for upright growth and air flow. Harvest leaves young for best texture, or allow plants to reach full height for ornamental impact.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
