A visually striking 18th century Dutch heirloom bush bean with a compact, bushy habit reaching around 70 cm. ‘Dragon’s Tongue’ produces wide, stringless pods in a pale lemon colour marked with distinctive purple streaks. Pods grow to approximately 18 cm and are exceptionally crisp and juicy when harvested young. Ready for fresh eating at around 60 days, the pods can also be left on the plant to mature, with seeds harvested as dried beans at around 100 days. A dual purpose variety valued for both beauty and flavour.
