A true blue heirloom, the Australian Butter Bean stands apart with its buttery yellow pods and glossy brown seeds, a striking contrast that hints at the richness within. This bean has been quietly passed down through generations of Australian home gardeners. Grown for drying or shelling fresh, the cooked beans are velvety, mild, and deeply satisfying, soaking up flavour beautifully in soups, stews, and slow cooked dishes. Heat tolerant and dependable, it is a rare gem for warm season growing and a nostalgic nod to traditional Australian kitchen gardens.
