Vigorous plants benefit from a trellis or support and are well suited to home gardens. The dried beans are ideal for soups, stews, curries and sprouting, and are especially prized in Asian cuisine for both savoury dishes and sweet bean pastes. Harvest once the pods have dried on the vine for long-term storage. Best grown in full sun after the danger of frost has passed.
