Brachyscome iberidifolia

Mixed Splendour is a delightful Australian native annual producing masses of dainty daisy-like flowers in shades of blue, mauve and white. Commonly known as Swan River Daisy, it forms soft, branching plants reaching approximately 30 cm tall and provides a long-lasting display of delicate colour.

Ideal for cottage gardens, borders, rockeries, containers and native garden plantings, its compact growth also makes it useful for filling gaps between larger plants. The abundant flowers attract bees and other beneficial insects and are particularly lovely planted in drifts or informal groups.

Easy to grow and relatively hardy once established, Swan River Daisy prefers a sunny position and well-drained soil.

Seed count: approximately 5,000 seeds/g
Approximately 500 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: Autumn to winter
Subtropics: Autumn to spring
Mild climates: Autumn and spring
Cold climates: Spring after frost

Planting / Sowing

Sow directly or into trays, covering the fine seed very lightly with soil or seed-raising mix. Keep moist during germination but avoid waterlogging.

Transplant or thin seedlings to approximately 15–20 cm apart. Grow in full sun in well-drained soil. Regular deadheading can encourage continued flowering.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
