Calendula officinalis

A charming old-fashioned calendula variety producing masses of fully double, rich orange blooms held on long stems that are ideal for cutting. Flowering over an extended season, Ball's Orange brings vibrant colour to garden beds, borders and cottage gardens while providing a valuable food source for bees, hoverflies and other beneficial pollinators.

Easy to grow and highly rewarding, this heirloom selection is prized for its reliable performance, prolific flowering and suitability as a cut flower. Regular picking encourages continuous blooms, making it an excellent choice for both ornamental displays and productive flower gardens. The bright flowers are also edible and can be used as colourful garnishes or scattered through salads.

Approximately 200 seeds per packet

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed directly where plants are to grow or raise seedlings in trays for transplanting. Plant 1cm deep in well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Keep moist during germination and establishment. Space plants approximately 25–30cm apart. Regular deadheading or cutting will encourage a longer flowering season. Approximately 8–10 weeks to flowering.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
