Cosmos Carpet Gold Seeds
$3.90
Unit price perCosmos sulphureus
Carpet Gold is a compact, dwarf Cosmos producing masses of bright golden-yellow, semi-double flowers throughout the warmer months. Its low, bushy growth makes it particularly well suited to borders, edging, containers and the front of sunny garden beds.
Easy to grow and quick to flower, Carpet Gold brings a brilliant splash of colour to the garden while attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Its smaller stature makes it a useful alternative to taller Cosmos varieties where space is limited or a more compact display is preferred.
Plants thrive in warm weather and full sun and are tolerant of relatively poor soils once established. Regular picking or deadheading encourages continued flowering.
Approximately 25 seeds per packet
When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: Spring to autumn
Subtropics: Spring to summer
Mild climates: Spring to summer
Cold climates: Late spring to summer after frost
Planting / Sowing
Sow directly where plants are to grow or raise in trays for transplanting. Cover seed lightly and keep moist during germination.
Thin or transplant seedlings to approximately 20–30 cm apart in full sun and well-drained soil. Avoid excessive fertiliser, which can encourage leafy growth at the expense of flowers.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.

FLOWER SEEDS WITH EDEN
Flower seeds: As fellow gardening enthusiasts we share the love for planting and nurturing our own flowers in addition to our veggie gardens. Our carefully selected range of flower seeds, available for convenient online purchase, holds a special place in our hearts. Like the endangered vegetables we've championed, these flower varieties face the risk of vanishing forever. Some of these older strains are incredibly rare, and it's a source of immense pride for us to offer and deliver these precious flower seeds Australia-wide.
