Rhodanthe chlorocephala

Pink and White Everlasting, also known as Pink Paper Daisy, is a beautiful Australian native annual famous for the spectacular mass wildflower displays of Western Australia and southern South Australia. Plants produce masses of delicate, papery daisy-like flowers in shades of pink and white, creating a wonderful display when planted in groups.

Growing approximately 20–60 cm tall, this hardy and adaptable species works beautifully in native gardens, wildflower plantings, cottage gardens and as an informal groundcover. The papery flowers are excellent for cutting and drying, retaining their shape and colour for long-lasting floral arrangements.

Naturally adapted to well-drained, sandy soils, Pink and White Everlasting performs best in a sunny position and is relatively hardy once established.

Approximately 100 seeds per packet
Approximately 70–85 days to flowering

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: Autumn to winter
Subtropics: Autumn to spring
Mild climates: Autumn to spring
Cold climates: Spring after frost

Planting / Sowing

Sow directly into well-drained soil, scattering the fine seed over the surface and covering only very lightly. Spring is ideal in cooler areas, although seed can be sown at other times where conditions remain warm and adequate water is available.

Keep moist during germination and establishment, then avoid overwatering once plants are growing strongly. For the most impressive display, sow generously in groups or drifts.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
