Tagetes patula

Fiesta is a striking French Marigold producing masses of richly coloured blooms in deep red and lemon-yellow. The contrasting two-toned flowers appear over an extended season, creating a bright and cheerful display through garden beds and productive growing areas.

Compact and free flowering, Fiesta is particularly well suited to edging, borders, containers and planting amongst vegetables. Marigolds are widely used as companion plants in productive gardens, attracting beneficial insects and providing useful diversity around crops. At the end of the season, plants can be chopped and dropped onto garden beds to return organic matter to the soil.

Easy to grow and tolerant of warm conditions, French Marigolds perform best in full sun and well-drained soil. Regular picking or deadheading encourages continued flowering.

Approximately 120 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Subtropics: Spring to autumn

Planting / Sowing

Sow directly where plants are to grow or raise in trays, covering seed lightly with soil or seed-raising mix. Keep moist during germination and establishment.

Transplant or thin seedlings to approximately 20–25 cm apart in full sun and well-drained soil. Plant around vegetable beds, along pathways or amongst crops where their compact habit and long flowering period can be put to good use.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
