Oat Grass is a fast-growing cereal grass grown for its sweet, vibrant green shoots. Popular for juicing, smoothies and fresh wheatgrass-style shots, it has a mild flavour and is easy to grow indoors or outdoors in shallow trays. The young shoots are naturally rich in chlorophyll and are traditionally enjoyed as a fresh addition to a healthy diet. For the best results, grow during the cooler months, as germination and growth are reduced in hot weather.

Planting / Sowing
Sow seed densely over a shallow tray of quality seed-raising mix and cover lightly with a thin layer of growing medium. Keep evenly moist and maintain temperatures between 16–25°C for the best germination. Place in a bright position out of harsh direct sun and harvest with scissors once the shoots reach 10–15 cm tall, usually in 10–14 days. Suitable for repeated sowings throughout the cooler months.
