Nemesia strumosa

Carnival Mixed is a compact, free-flowering Nemesia producing masses of large, brightly coloured flowers in a vivid mixture of yellow, orange, red, pink, mauve, blue and white, often with contrasting markings. Growing to approximately 20 cm tall, the neat, bushy plants create a wonderfully colourful display.

Ideal for borders, edging, containers, rockeries and cottage gardens, Carnival Mixed performs particularly well during the cooler months. The abundant flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects and work beautifully planted in groups for a bright mass of colour.

Nemesia prefers mild conditions, full sun to partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil. Plants appreciate regular moisture but can decline during prolonged periods of intense summer heat.

Seed count: approximately 5,000 seeds/g
Approximately 200 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Tropics: Autumn to winter
Subtropics: Autumn to winter
Mild climates: Autumn and spring
Cold climates: Spring after frost

Planting / Sowing

Sow directly or raise in trays, covering the fine seed only lightly with soil or seed-raising mix. Keep consistently moist during germination.

Transplant or thin seedlings to approximately 15–20 cm apart in full sun to partial shade. Regular picking or deadheading can help encourage continued flowering.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
