Viola × wittrockiana

Swiss Giants Mixed is a classic large-flowered Pansy producing bold, velvety blooms in a wide range of colours including deep purple, violet, blue, yellow, white and striking bi-colour combinations. Plants form neat, compact mounds and flower generously throughout the cooler months.

Known for their particularly large blooms and reliable garden performance, Swiss Giants are ideal for garden beds, borders, containers, window boxes and hanging baskets. The flowers are edible and can be used to add colour to salads, cakes, desserts and other culinary creations.

Easy to grow and wonderfully colourful, Pansies thrive in cool conditions and perform best in fertile, well-drained soil with regular moisture. Full sun encourages abundant flowering in cooler weather, while partial shade can help extend flowering as conditions warm. Regular deadheading encourages continued bloom production.

Seed count: approximately 850 seeds/g

Planting / Sowing

Sow into trays or pots, covering seed lightly with approximately 3–5 mm of seed-raising mix. Keep cool and consistently moist during germination.

Transplant once seedlings are well established, spacing approximately 15–20 cm apart. Grow in full sun to partial shade and remove spent flowers regularly to encourage a long flowering season.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
