Salvia Blaze Of Fire Seeds
$3.90
Unit price perSalvia splendens
Blaze Of Fire is a compact, early-flowering Salvia producing brilliant scarlet flower spikes above lush green foliage. Growing to approximately 30 cm tall, the neat, bushy plants provide an intense splash of colour over a long flowering period.
A classic bedding Salvia, Blaze Of Fire is ideal for borders, edging, containers and mass plantings. The vivid tubular flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinating insects and stand out beautifully when planted in groups.
Easy to grow and particularly fond of warm conditions, plants perform best in full sun to partial shade with fertile, well-drained soil and regular moisture. Removing spent flower spikes encourages continued flowering and keeps plants compact and tidy.
Seed count: approximately 300 seeds/g
Approximately 60 seeds per packet
When to Plant (Australia)
Tropics: Spring to autumn
Subtropics: Spring to summer
Mild climates: Spring to summer
Cold climates: Late spring to summer after frost
Planting / Sowing
Sow into trays or pots, covering seed only lightly with seed-raising mix. Keep warm and consistently moist during germination.
Transplant once seedlings are well established, spacing approximately 20–30 cm apart. Grow in full sun to partial shade and protect from frost.
Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.

FLOWER SEEDS WITH EDEN
Flower seeds: As fellow gardening enthusiasts we share the love for planting and nurturing our own flowers in addition to our veggie gardens. Our carefully selected range of flower seeds, available for convenient online purchase, holds a special place in our hearts. Like the endangered vegetables we've championed, these flower varieties face the risk of vanishing forever. Some of these older strains are incredibly rare, and it's a source of immense pride for us to offer and deliver these precious flower seeds Australia-wide.
