Antirrhinum majus

Giant Mix is a tall, showy Snapdragon producing impressive spikes of densely packed flowers in a colourful mixture dominated by rich reds and bright yellows, with additional complementary shades creating a lively display.

The tall, upright flower stems make this variety particularly well suited to cottage gardens, borders and dedicated cutting gardens. Snapdragons are excellent cut flowers, with strong stems and long-lasting blooms that add height and structure to floral arrangements. Flowers left in the garden are also attractive to bees and other pollinating insects.

Hardy and generously flowering, Snapdragons perform best in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. They enjoy cooler conditions while establishing and will continue flowering over a long period when blooms are regularly picked or deadheaded.

Seed count: approximately 4,000 seeds/g
Approximately 3,000 seeds per packet

When to Plant (Australia)

Subtropics: Autumn to spring
Mild climates: Autumn to spring
Cold climates: Late winter to spring

Planting / Sowing

Sow the fine seed onto the surface of moist seed-raising mix and press gently into place. Cover only very lightly, as light assists germination. Keep consistently moist during germination.

Transplant once seedlings are well established, spacing approximately 20–30 cm apart in full sun and well-drained soil. Taller flower spikes may benefit from support in exposed positions. Regular picking or deadheading encourages further flowering.

Due to quarantine restrictions, TAS has an 800g limit per each seed variety and WA has a 10,000 seeds limit per variety.
